Shipboard Conflict Management
THE OBJECTIVES OF:
This course aims to equip seafarers with the knowledge and abilities to resolve disputes successfully in multicultural ship environments. It provides seafarers the essential tools they need to successfully manage the challenges of different teams and foster a productive workplace by enhancing their communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

- Recognise the factors that contribute to conflicts in a multicultural ship and understand their impact on shipboard operations.
- Apply conflict resolution strategies to de-escalate and resolve conflicts among crew members.
- Utilise effective communication techniques to facilitate constructive dialogue and negotiation during conflict situations.
- Foster a culture of respect, understanding, and collaboration onboard, promoting a positive work environment.
