IMO Model Course 1.27 - Operational Use of ECDIS
THE OBJECTIVES OF:
This course equips participants with the necessary competency to safely operate the ECDIS system. Course participants understand the data functions, capabilities and limitations of the system.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT:
- Be not less than 18 years of age;
- Hold a Certificate of Competency as a Navigating Officer or at least have a minimum sea service of 6 months as deck cadet.
- Have adequate working knowledge of English (spoken &written) and
- Have basic computer skills.
