THE OBJECTIVES OF:
This course aims to develop an understanding the crucial role of leadership in the functioning of organisations, learn the behavioural science strategies and methodologies to inspire others to perform. Additionally, to understand the effective applications of influence and motivation at work ashore and onboard ship.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Examining the characteristics of a leader and formulate self-transitional pathways from being an individual contributor to a team leader.
- Learning and demonstrating the ability to set goals and standards which are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound.
- Communicating and coaching of teams towards achieving common goals.
- Enhancing abilities to influence stakeholders and teams to enhance performances
- Interpreting unconscious biases and the relevant strategies to successfully navigate them.
- Utilising the repertoire of managerial leadership styles to empower, engage and develop others.
