THE OBJECTIVES OF:

    This course aims to offer an insight into the surveys and inspections conducted by ship Classification Societies and Port States, helping Seafaring Officers understand the requirements and finer details of preparing the vessels accordingly for the surveys and inspections.

    At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

    • Understand the system of maritime regulations and the basics of classification
    • Understand the ship class and system of statutory surveys
    • Understand the Port State Control overview and the necessary onboard procedures
    • Keys to preparing the ship for inspections and the necessary follow-ups thereafter
