LNG Cargo Operations (SIGTTO Advanced Management Level)


THE OBJECTIVES OF:

    This programme is delivered as part of a collaboration with GTT Training Ltd

    This intensive 5 day course is delivered using a blended learning, using a combination of lectures, to cover underpinning theoretical knowledge, simulator exercises for the various cargo operations using an appropriate LNG Carrier ship model, de-briefing sessions and evening guided study. 

    Assessments will be undertaken by all delegates throughout the course ensuring they have a sound theoretical and practical level of knowledge upon its completion.


ENTRY REQUIREMENT:

    Suitable for all officers who will sail on board LNG carriers, especially those responsible for the safe planning and execution of all the related cargo operations and anybody engaged in the LNG industry who may require a better understanding of the cargo operations on LNG vessels.

COURSE OUTLINE:

    Course Topics Include:

    • Review of Gas Laws and Proterties of LNG
    • Preparation for Cargo loading including interting, gassing up and cooldown
    • Types and contruction of LNG Storage tanks
    • Undertaking cargo transfer operations, including preparation, transfer and post transfer
    • Operation of the cargo machinery systems for pressure management and supply of gas to consumers
    • Preparation for maintenance including warming up and gas freeing
    • LNG hards and emergency response precedures and considerations
