Bridge Team Resource Management Course

THE OBJECTIVES OF:

This course aims to minimize the risk of accidents that could result in loss of life, property damage, or environmental harm. The goal is to enhance the navigational skills of navigating officers. This includes developing and refining their ability to handle a vessel in restricted waters and to effectively utilize both technical and human resources.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT:

No Pre-requisite.

COURSE OUTLINE:

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Understand the behaviour of the ship, wind, current, shallow waters, banks, narrow channel, and condition of loading
• Apply the knowledge gained, for correct use of engines, helm and other available resources during ship manoeuvring
• Apply bridge procedures and respond effectively to changing circumstances and contingencies
• Understand the Bridge Team Resource Management principles
